Dianne Lewis, an aspirant for Bishop in 2024, embodies the ethos of compassionate, accountable, responsible, effective, and servant-leadership. With a rich academic background from Wesley Theological Seminary, Turner Theological Seminary, and Delaware State College, she brings a profound understanding of practical theology, pastoral care, and counseling to her ministry.

Rev. Lewis’s pastoral journey spans over three decades across various Episcopal Districts, where she has led with empathy, integrity, respect, resilience, and humility. Her commitment to spiritual care, church property restoration, and financial literacy underscores her holistic approach to leadership. Notably, her work has facilitated healing and restoration, addressing grief, bereavement, suicide, sexual trauma, and mental health with a deeply empathetic and resilient spirit.

Her leadership extends beyond the pulpit to significant roles within the AME Church, educational arena, community, and as a celebrated chaplain recognized for her service to veterans and families. Rev. Lewis has been honored with the Gold Standard of Leadership Award among numerous accolades, reflecting her outstanding contributions to spiritual care and community welfare.

An advocate for continuous learning and improvement, Rev. Lewis is also a published author, addressing critical issues such as clergy burnout, mental health, and financial literacy. Her hobbies, including beaching, biking, bowling, reading, and traveling, reflect her well-rounded personality and commitment to a balanced life.
